This is one of my favorite places to go in NYC. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, a short ride from Manhattan on the # 4 train to Franklin Ave., and you can spend a whole day, walking around, taking time to catch up your reading, admiring flowers and getting familiar with exotic plants from all over the world in 3 magnificent green houses. The Garden also has a store where you can buy seeds, plants, bulbs, flowers, the Bonsai house with several species over 100 years old. The Cranford Rose Garden, the Japanese Garden and the Celebrity Path, besides special exhibits. If you get hungry, there is a cafeteria for sandwiches, sodas, ice cream, and snacks. I hope you enjoy it.
